  • Marathon Update and Thanks!

    It’s less than 2 weeks to go now until the big day and I’ve still got a couple of endurance runs to squeeze in but have once again been hampered by illness.  That said I hit my goal run which was 18 miles just over a week ago so I am sure that I am going to be ready for the 26 miler! Albeit at a slower pace than I’d hoped to achieve.

  • Marathon Update and Thanks!

    It’s been a while since a posted an update on my training for the London Marathon coming up in just over 2 weeks.  Training is going very well indeed; I ran 18.5 miles last Sunday in 3 hours and 48 minutes which is surprisingly good considering that I didn’t feel as though I even had the energy to leave my house that day. Building up to that level of endurance has been incredibly difficult and over the past 6 months, the intensity of my training has increasingly taken a toll on me. It is fair to say that physical and mental fatigue is currently a daily part of my life; having gone from non runner to endurance runner in such a short amount of time. Understandably I am looking forward to getting through the marathon, taking a weeks rest and then getting back to a normal way of life and normal energy levels. I am extremely proud of my progress; to run that 18.5 miles on my own was a colossal achievement indeed. On top of all this I’ve managed to (mostly) keep on top of all my other social, personal and work commitments often working through the fatigue and the multitude of bugs that I keep picking up thanks to the knock on effect to my immune system. As you can all see, this has been one hell of a ride for me…and many of you know what that feels like, being at my mercy! So for those of you who haven’t yet donated to the fundraising (after all the reason I am doing all of this is for charity) then now is the time to do so and show your support.  Because of the nature of the charity and for my own personal anonymity I am not giving out my fundraising page, instead I’ve set up a bank account for you to make donations directly…

  • Marathon Update and Thanks!

    I am absolutely storming ahead now in my training and my fundraising.  I was up and out by 7am this morning for a 3 hour run covering 14 lonely miles!  Running alone has its benefits; I can train at my own pace and go into my ‘zone’ so that I can focus.  However, when the pain really kicks in (which it did today half way through) it can get lonely.  Focusing on my distance goal takes immense mental energy and discipline as well as physical. So you can imagine how thrilled I was when I got home today and totted up my fundraising total….

    Unfortunately my 10 day break turned into a 3 week break after the first attempt to return to training ended in the realisation that I was suffering from burnout.  Fortunately I have been back to it since last week and all is looking rosy again!  I would like to say a big thank you to my most recent donations from Slave Mike (£10), Sissy Isobella (£26), Slave Taquin (£60) and to a friend of Slave Sissy Mouse whom I won’t name on here because he is apparently already bumbling at having had a surprise video from me (£50).  You are all very generous and kind, thank you so much!

    I haven’t trained for the past 10 days due to injury and sickness but I am going back to it tomorrow and I can’t wait to get my running shoes on again! I don’t think that I have given recent contributors a mention on my blog lately, only on Twitter, so I would like to say thank you to Slave Taquin (£50 second donation), Slave Sissy Mouse (£100 second donation), Slave Twitchalot (£50), my Inflatable slave (£100) and to the slave who wishes to remain anonymous (£200).  Thank you for your recent donations.  Adding those to the total already contributed alongside my vanilla fundraising the grand total now stands at:

    For those of you who are new to my website, I am currently training for this year’s London Marathon and I have started my training from scratch.  I am running for a charity close to my heart but I don’t want to disclose which charity it is because of it’s sensitive nature and because of my personal confidentiality.  I have to raise £2000 which is what I have pledged to them in order to obtain my place in the marathon.  Training has been going well, very well in-fact and today I ran 10 miles on a very hilly route.  The equivalent to 95 floors (almost as high as the empire state building).  So far I have raised £505 of my target so I’m still a long way off!   • Marathon Update and a Few Words of Thanks….

    I am still making good progress with my marathon training and should be doing another long outdoor run this weekend with a view to go over 10 km.  I’ve done a few Gym sessions this week, building up performance and stamina on the treadmill.  I would like to say thank you to Slave Dribbly and to Slave Sissy Mouse who both donated £100 each to the sponsorship fund which brings my total raised now to £505.

    I would also like to say thank you to Slave Taquin for contributing another £30 to my iMac fund bringing the total to £655.  I would also like to thank him for being my Teamviewer guinea pig which has helped me to further expand my empire of domination.

  • Marathon Training Update

    I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas :)  Mistress is still enjoying the holiday season and the joys that go with the break!  I would say I’ve been relaxing but that rarely happens in my world and even less so now that I am training for the forthcoming London Marathon.

    I would like to say thank you to my inflatable fetish slave for his donation of £50 bringing my total raised so far to £309 (15% of my target).

    Until Boxing day I hadn’t trained for 10 days as I have been suffering from headaches which have been getting worse.  I have now discovered that they are actually migraines. I got one so bad in the left side of my face that I thought I was having a stroke. However, being the tough woman that I am, I am determined not to let the headaches interfere with my training any more. I dosed up on Boxing day morning and went for my first outdoor run (not my first ever but my first since I started training for the marathon).  Until this point, I had been running on a treadmill and on the flat. So just 2 minutes into this run, I felt like turning around and going home.  It hurt my legs so much!  I decided that I would walk up the hills and run the more even ground and downhill.  This worked out well for me and I covered 6.65k in 46 minutes.  I was chuffed to bits.

    Today, I was back at the gym.  Slave E, who has kindly been sending me words of advice and encouragement via email has advised me to work on high intensity intervals for longer periods during the week and aim for a long run once a week.  Since I now know I can run go for 46 minutes I decided I was going to try to reach this again during interval training.  I spent 21 minutes with run 2, walk 1 intervals followed by a further 28 minutes of run 3, walk 30 second, intervals.  In 49 minutes I covered 7.4km :D  It was only just over a month ago that I was struggling to get past 3k!

  • Mistress’s Marathon Update – 6k Achieved.

    I am delighted to tell you all that I ran 6k at the gym today – I’ve broken through the barrier I’d hit and am well on my way past the 5k mark which I’d been struggling to reach for a few weeks!  I barely even broke a sweat today and found today’s session a lot easier than any of the others have been.  Next goal – 10k!!

  • Marathon Training Update

    I hit a road block in my training the other day, having not trained for 3 weeks due to ill health and a house move I found it incredibly tough to get back into things and only managed half a session.  One needs to be mentally and physically alert in order to obtain the focus and stamina needed for this kind of training. The other day I had none.  Today I was determined to complete my training session.  I hit a wall very early into my run but got into ‘The Zone’ about half way into it.  So today I completed my first 5k! Only another 35 to go! LOL.

    For those of you just picking up on this, I am training for the London Marathon in 2016.   • Marathon Sponsorship – Thank You Eric

    Recently I made a brief announcement together with a link to my anonymous fundraising page with regards to my entry in next year’s London Marathon.  I will write a dedicated post about this soon when I am not so busy so that you slaves can all get behind me and sponsor me.  All donations will be anonymous other than first name or slave names. Unfortunately gofundme shut down my fund raising pages because I wasn’t able to publicly state my personal information.  When I explained that I have to be discreet they said that my page didn’t meet their terms of use so I won’t be able to collect sponsorship through that medium and thus will come up with a different solution.  Just before my page got shut down I’d received a £10 sponsorship from Eric, so this post is to say Thank you for that!
